Leveraging design thinking and a full-spectrum creative skillset to build cross-platform experiences that unify your brand and drive business goals.
Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland), Aotearoa based. Some of the amazing people I have worked with include The Light Project, Asthma NZ, Mission Without Borders, World Freedom Network, Better Packaging Co., SUPA.energy and more. The work spans filming, brand identity, digital, and print work, utilising a strategy-first approach to integrate touch points and unify brand presence.

Asthma New Zealand.
“Sometimes, it's okay to just be proud. And right now, I'm super proud of what our team has achieved... We launched New Zealand's first-ever Asthma Awareness Week — a milestone moment in shining a light on a condition that affects over 1 million Kiwis, but is still too often overlooked.”
C. Beard—CEO, Asthma New Zealand
First project, in January 2025, was a brand refresh, developing a design system and setting up guidelines. This was followed by a (one month turn around) complete website redesign and rebuild, carefully hand coded with custom navigation, modules, animations, and Microsoft Dynamics CRM integration (no off the shelf plugin's or templates) and with tools for staff to make code-free updates as needed (included personalised training). We also are continually monitoring user behaviour and analytics for ongoing CRO (conversion rate optimisation).
Second project was a national awareness campaign filmed at Eden Park Stadium with ambassadors Ardie and Julian Savea, Anika Todd, Mea Motu, and Steve Devine. Shot across two simultaneous filming sets and group activities on the stadium pitch. We then produced brand and video content for the launch of New Zealand's first-ever Asthma Awareness Week, featured on TVNZ Breakfast, NZ Herald, and Waatea News. This campaign included multiple video deliverables, design assets and an Asthma Awareness Week logo with brand set.
SUPA energy.
SUPA.energy first brought me in to help translate their existing brand direction into practical, public-facing brand assets. The initial project was a Webflow website build, shaped around the direction already established for the brand and the marketing team’s developing messaging, along with supporting print collateral.
That first project grew into a wider creative partnership across funding, storytelling, digital, design and campaign support. I worked closely with the SUPA team on investor and funding pitch decks, including complex data visualisations that required custom tools to turn large datasets into clear, compelling visual narratives. SUPA went on to secure funding, with the pitch deck receiving specific positive feedback from the funders.
The work then expanded into film and photography. SUPA commissioned a fast-turnaround case study film documenting their work with Ōropi School in Tauranga. This involved planning with the marketing team, script support, principal interviews, b-roll, drone footage and filming a live solar install, all captured during a one-day shoot from Auckland. I also photographed new director Luke, with the images later published in BusinessDesk NZ.
A second case study followed in Kaikohe, Northland, combining interviews, event coverage, explainers, b-roll, drone footage and narrative-led editing. The first cut landed strongly with the client, and both case studies were then adapted into multiple social media outputs. Because the projects were shot in 8K, we had the flexibility to reframe and recut footage for both landscape and portrait formats without compromising quality.
The relationship continued with a refinement of SUPA.energy’s website and brand presentation, including a rebuild of the original Webflow site, custom video players, refreshed illustrations and artwork, improved user flow, and updated messaging in collaboration with the team. I also supported SUPA with collateral and signage for their ECO EXPO presence at AUT.
Across the work, the aim was to help SUPA communicate the scale, credibility and human impact of their energy projects with greater clarity, polish and momentum.
World Freedom Network
As part of World Freedom Network's repositioning and soft launch at an event they ran for a United Nations conference in New York, we refreshed the brand, tweaking the logo and completely rebuilt their website, along with print material and banners. This had a very positive effect and opened up further opportunities for the global anti-trafficking organisation.
Mukti Mission
A vibrant site giving life to Mukti New Zealand’s mission work designed for supporters, with giving and sponsorship gateways.
Mukti New Zealand is the local arm of the Pandita Ramabai Mukti Mission, a community in India that has cared for vulnerable women and children since 1889. More than 1,500 women and children call Mukti home today, with food, shelter, education, healthcare and family-style care. I worked closely with the Mukti leadership team to design and built the site to make supporting that work simple and clear. A giving gateway handles one-off and ongoing donations, and a sponsorship gateway lets supporters sponsor a girl, boy, woman or granny from $35 a month, with the full amount going to India.
Much of the content was written during the build, keeping the voice warm and personal across the projects, stories and appeals and there was on further work on EDM's and a regular printed newsletter template.
The Way of the Raukura
A full spectrum of creative services supporting a retelling of the Parihaka invasion over two seasons, including at Auckland's Bruce Mason Centre.
“Phil is a true creative who enters fully into any project he does. As such we really value his advice about how we message things and what comes across well. His material is fully professional and impresses people everywhere we take it.”
S. Worsley—Author, Director
Mission Without Borders
Working with the New Zealand team to craft, an on brand, off-set printed, Mission Without Borders Annual Magazine. From RND, content strategy to design and copy direction. Artwork was carefully designed and produced so that MWB Australia could adapt the files easily for their annual campaign.

“I wholeheartedly recommend Phil Botha for his outstanding creative talent, collaborative approach, and genuine passion for missions. His ability to think outside the box, ask the right questions, and bring fresh ideas to the table resulted in a visually striking and deeply impactful Mission Without Borders magazine that truly reflects our mission’s heart and vision.”
B. Raeburn—National Director
Tectonus
Projects spanning a Blenheim winery shoot, behind-the-scenes with the team at their Penrose workshop, and a comprehensive Megaguide catalogue and more.
Better Packaging Co.
Filmed and produced the pitch that propelled Better Packaging Co. to Ocean Impact Pitchfest 2022 Finalist, spotlighting Pollast!c—the world’s first mailing satchel made from 100% recycled ocean-bound plastic that cleans up the environment while breaking the cycle of poverty and plastic pollution.

“We had an amazing experience working with Phil on our video project for Better Packaging Co. Phil’s approach to filming made everyone feel at ease and comfortable — much needed when you're in front of the camera. He was able to capture the essence of our company and our message and we loved the final video. He was also extremely flexible and accommodating, which made the whole process a breeze and stress-free. I highly recommend Phil for any video production needs and look forward to working with him again in the future.”
